2-Minute drill

1/24/2020

In American football, the last 2 minutes of the game are often where the outcome is decided.

Tom Brady of the New  England Patriots is famous for his ability to run the 2-minute drill to devastating results. With only 2-minutes remaining, he’ll adapt the offense to run as many plays in as little time, in order to score.

The 2-minute drill is found in other areas as well, like the Presidential Debate. In this highest of stakes debate format, Presidential candidates have 2 minutes to respond to questions. They have to boil down answers that might cover an extremely broad topic, like healthcare, war, and the economy, in just 2 minutes.

Like Tom Brady, they have to be fully aware of the clock and understand which talking points to highlight and more importantly, which to drop, in 2 minutes. They’ll adapt their answers depending on the situation of the entire debate.

Now, we likely aren’t playing professional football like Brady or participating in Presidential debates, but we all are involved in high-stakes conversations. Whether it’s to get a promotion, buy-in for a project, or simply deciding what to do during the weekend, they impact our lives.

What’s your 2-minute drill feel like?

If you’re not sure, it takes only 2 minutes to find out.

Thanks for caring!

With gratitude,
