Cutting through the noise.
Every hour of every day, companies bombard us with messages to get our attention.
From Facebook and Amazon to Netflix and Youtube, armies of the brightest engineers, behavioral scientists, and data scientists use all their tools to learn our patterns, then grab us when we’re most vulnerable.
Add on emails and texts, which often masquerade as other people’s to-do lists, and no wonder we’re left exhausted. So at the end of the day, we go back to social media and the cycle continues.
Until we meet a friend or family member who looks you in the eye and says, “it would really mean a lot to me if we could play _______ (fill in your favorite activity you do with someone).”
Because we’re human and humans need to feel connected in a deep, meaningful way.
Instead of fighting phone addiction by trying to limit screen time and avoiding certain sites, what would life look like if we focused on creating really meaningful connections with humans?
Thanks for caring!
