Dangerous drive

1/22/2022

Have you ever had to drive through a dense fog? Could you barely see the road?

You could turn your high beams on. The problem is, the water vapor reflects the light, making it more difficult to see.

What should you do? Counterintuitively, you should drive with low beams and reduce your speed. We have to assume we can’t see accurately. Look for guides like roadside reflectors and the edge of the road.

Though we don’t often drive in dense fog, we often are under stress, clouding our thinking. As a result, we often have to deal with exhaustion, sleep deprivation, and for many of us, mental illness.

Trying to see clearly is challenging. Sometimes impossible. Better to have trusted guides to look for advice and make sure we’re on the right path?

Who serves as your guide when things get rough? How might you strengthen the number and quality of your guides?

Thanks for caring!

With gratitude,

Anwell
