One of my favorite violin pieces is Saint-Saens’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso.
It has everything from soaring melodies, dance, love songs, and a brilliant finale. Saint-Saens gives you several hints that the end of the piece is near. There’s the calm before the storm, where he uses silence to build tension. There’s an increase in pace to generate excitement. And the violin starts to jump for low to high notes faster and faster. The audience goes along for the wild ride and explodes with applause. What does this have to do with you? When you’re giving a presentation, how do you signal to your audience that the end is near? How do you build tension and finish with an explosion? Hear how Saint-Saens does it in 60 seconds here, Thanks for caring! With gratitude, Anwell Tsai Comments are closed.
