Basketball superstar Michael Jordan is that rare ultra-talented overachiever.
He won 6 championships, never lost an NBA Finals, and arguably would have won more if he did not retire prematurely, twice.
He was incredibly competitive in everything he did, not just basketball. Ping-pong, golf, card games, everything was a competition for him. That was just the way he was wired.
Surprisingly, in basketball, he always played as if the game was 0 - 0.
It didn’t matter if his team was up by 20 points. He competed as if it was 0 - 0. Even if his team was down 20 points, it was still 0 - 0 for him.
That helped him stay in the moment at all times, and not worry about what happened earlier in the game.
If we have dozens of action items on our to do list, what would happen if we just focused on the one thing we need to get done now?
Thanks for caring!
