Girl, 14, Conquers Tanglewood with 3 Violins.

11/22/2021

The front page of the New York Times read “Girl, 14, Conquers Tanglewood with 3 Violins.”

That performance catapulted violinist Midori into stardom. She would go on to record some of the most challenging violin pieces at the age of 17.

During one of her lessons, an observer asked her teacher how she can play so well at such a young age.

Her teacher replied that no one ever told her no. People didn’t set limits. People didn’t tell her this composition was too complex or that she was too young to perform at Carnegie Hall.

What limits do we give ourselves? How might we change them?

Thanks for caring!

With gratitude,

Anwell
