Is knowledge everything?

1/7/2019

2,300 years ago, people from all over the ancient world would come to the the Library of Alexandria to learn, share ideas, and bring back knowledge that could transform their community.

In many ways, the library’s estimated 400,000 ancient scrolls was one of the true treasures of the ancient world.

Today, the English language version of Wikipedia has over 5,700,000 articles, while non-english Wikipedias have over 40,000,000 articles.

SoftwareFindre estimates that there are over 500,000,000 blogs as of 2018.

We literally have access to more information than the greatest kings and countries in history, at a push of a button.

But how often do we end up searching for more information to avoid the hard things?

Finding 20 different ways to create an effective presentation, slides, and scripts, is a lot easier than talking to someone face to face about the hard things, the points of conflict and tension.

But often, it’s the hard things that make the biggest difference. Often, there are the most exciting things because of the potential benefits they bring to the person who can solve them.

What are the hard things you can tackle today?

Thanks for caring!

with gratitude,
