Playing under pressure

Performing music for a live audience is both thrilling and scary. Often, elements that went well in the practice room fall apart under pressure. 

Yes, you can practice performing for a few friends. Try to simulate a concert feel with a dress rehearsal. But there are no substitutes.

The same goes for leadership. You can read books and gather advice. But, like riding a bike or swimming, you have to jump in.
