Sweet sounds

3/27/2020

Violinist spends years trying to produce a beautiful sound. It takes incredible bow control, touch, and imagination to create a singing tone.

But that’s not enough.

The ear gets bored quickly with sweet sounds.  Great music demands a variety of colors, moods, and emotions.

Many people feel the violin is the most expressive musical instrument.  Its tone is the closest to the human voice.

As expressive as the violin is, the voice is unmatched.  All of us can change the mood and entire meaning of a word with simple changes in tone.

Without training, we know immediately when our mother is anxious on the phone.  Immediately, when our loved ones are excited. Immediately, when something’s wrong.

With all these expressions at our disposal, what has lead brilliant people to sound like robots in corporate meetings?

What would happen if they showed their passion, curiosity, and frustrations instead?

Thanks for caring!

With gratitude,

Anwell  Tsai
