The corner office

12/18/2021

I spent a few hours near the top floor of a fancy building. Sunlight poured in from the floor-to-ceiling windows from both sides of this corner room. The Boston skyline glowed as the sun set.

If this were an office building, executives would scramble to claim it. But, this was a hospital room. People are not eager to come here to admire the view. Sunsets have a different meaning for the sick. Likewise, people facing mortality might not appreciate looking down at the world from dizzying heights.

How we see things depends on the stories from our past and our outlook on where we are heading.

Next time you disagree with someone, how will you try to look through their eyes?

Thanks for caring!

With gratitude,

Anwell
