The golden E-string
The E-string on the violin sounds plain. To warm up the sound, I use an expensive string that produces a golden tone. Unfortunately, every now and then, the string whistles. It gives a shrieking tone.
If I go with a standard string, I’ll avoid these whistling sounds. But I’ll also lose the golden tones. So the tradeoffs are worth it.
When working with people who are not like us, the opportunity to create beautiful music can be higher. Unfortunately, so are the possibilities for hiccups. The trick is figuring out whether the price is worth it.
Who might you reach out to today to create something magical?
Thanks for caring!
