The problem with finding people like us

2/26/2019

When I was little, I fell in love with the great violin virtuosos of the past, from the electrifying Heifetz, who played like a bottled-up tornado, to the playful Kreisler, who did everything possible to avoid practicing.

The internet connected me with other passionate violinist who loved them as much as I did. Being able to find your groups for even the most esoteric interest is incredible.

But as we connect with more people who match are interests exactly, are we missing out on some amazing people who have different views?

People who can lead us into unexplored worlds and experiences?

What would happen if we took just a little time to find people we can proudly say “we’re different, and we’re friends?”

Thanks for caring!

With gratitude,

Anwell Tsai
