Think like a conductor

​Conductors are rarely first-class instrumentalists. She can’t play the violin like the concertmaster or the cello like the principal. 

Her role is to lead all the sections in harmony and execute her musical vision. Not to micromanage each phrase, what fingerings to use, and subtle details.

How might you think more like a conductor and less like a manager?
