Tripods, Music, and Pitches.

10/19/2021

Have you ever used a tripod to snap that perfect picture or film your child’s performance?

If one leg is too short or too long, the final result comes out poor. This is because all three legs have to work together.

The same idea comes into play with a musical performance. If your favorite musician is performing your least favorite composition, you won’t have an enjoyable experience. Likewise, if your musical idol is performing your favorite work, but you just had an emotionally draining argument with your mother-in-law, you won’t appreciate the performance.

It takes the right performer, song, and frame of mind to have a breathtaking concert experience.

The same goes for communicating your ideas. You have to have a suitable delivery style (performer), content (composition), and the decision-makers have to be in the right state of mind.

How will you make sure you have all three during your next pitch? How might you adapt if one leg is off?

Thanks for caring!

With gratitude,

Anwell
