Turn your strengths into weaknesses.

1/6/2019

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs could persuade people to do the impossible. Bud Tribble called Job’s charisma a “reality distortion field.” This undoubtedly helped him transform the computer, music, phone, tablet, and movie industries.

But what would happen if he pretended he had the personality and charisma of a rock?

How would he persuade, motivate, and inspire people?

Sometimes, we overly rely on our strengths, whether it’s having charisma, being very data oriented, or getting things done.  What if we didn't have them to fall back on?

We may come up with novel solutions. We may learn some new skills and flex some new mental muscles.

Without a doubt, we’d have some fun trying new things, and become much more effective.

What skills would you play with if you didn’t rely on your core strengths?

Thanks for caring!

with gratitude,
