Unwanted gift cards
A student once gave me a substantial gift card to a restaurant. The problem was, I didn’t care for the food.
I could have forced myself to try everything on the menu and tell myself it’s free. But, instead, I gave it away to a friend who would enjoy it far more.
It was easy to give the gift card away because I didn’t buy it and didn’t want it.
Even if we don't want it anymore, giving away things that cost a lot of money or time is harder.
For those who aren’t content with their current job and have a hard time moving on, what happens if we consider that college degree, career, or skill-set a gift from our past self? What opportunities open up if we politely say no and move on to what we really want?
Thanks for caring!
