It seems like there are Starbucks on every block, all over the world. But it wasn’t always the case.
Starbucks CEO first started working at Starbucks, the founders sent him to Italy. He loved the sense of community and environment of the coffee bars there. He tried to bring this Italian sense of place to America with opera music, baristas in bowties and white shirts, and a stand-up bar.
It failed, completely.
Schultz could have packed it in. Taken the easy way out. But he looked at the problem as a gift. He kept experimenting. And now, Starbucks is one the strongest brands in the world, famous for being a place to relax, hang out, and get a great cup of coffee!
We’re all faced with problems every day. According to Richard Bach, "There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in its hands."
What problems might we turn into gifts today?
Thanks for caring!
