People often greet each other with “Hi, what’s up? How are things going?”
Sometimes, you really wants to know how things are going, but often it’s just polite conversation before you get to your agenda.
People are so used to this that they often reply “nothing much” or something generic like “it’s freezing outside.” We’ve been ignored so many times that we don’t share what’s really on our minds unless something significant happened.
When was the last time someone looked you in the eye, asked “what’s up,” and really listened to you, watched your reactions, and tried to connect with you in the moment, to see how you’re actually doing?
How would you feel like if you surrounded yourself with people like that?
Thanks for caring!
