Who would win, a great white shark or a killer whale?

1/13/2019

What would happen if these 2 apex predators actually met in the oceans? Both are incredibly fast, powerful, and deadly.

Drones have captured footage of these deadly encounters, showing the killer whale as the clear winner.

The surprising thing is not how easily the killer whales win. The surprising thing is that we could have figured it out with just a little thought.

Killer whales are much bigger (32 ft vs 20 ft), massive ( 9 tons vs 2.5 tons), and faster (30 mph vs 15 mph). They hunt in pods while great whites hunt by themselves.

Killer whales are also very intelligent, using multiple strategies to coordinate attacks on much larger whales.

Without looking at the drone footage, there’s a pretty clear winner if we just do a little bit of research and thought.

What other seemingly complex problems can we tackle by doing just a little research and thought?

Thanks for caring!
