Will this be on the test?

In school, we often have to take a variety of tests.

Can you think of any jobs or activities in your personal life where test taking is the most valuable activity you do?

If not, then why aren’t we learning how to do the most valuable things, instead of optimizing for the easiest things to measure?

Students often make this distinction whenever they ask “will this be on the test.”
